Almeida Named President of New Jersey Chapter of American College of Emergency Physicians

Victor Almeida, DO, FACEP, FACOEP, has been named president of the New Jersey chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (NJ-ACEP). Dr. Almeida is a physician partner with Emergency Medical Associates (EMA), headquartered in Livingston, N.J., and serves as Assistant Director of emergency services at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, N.J.

Dr. Almeida received his bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, N.J., where he graduated magma cum laude.  He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his emergency medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he served as chief resident.

Dr. Almeida is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, American College of Emergency Physicians, and is a diplomat of the American College of Osteopathic Physicians, American Board of Emergency Medicine, and American Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners.

Dr. Almeida has been a member of NJ-ACEP since 1999, and has held several board positions and has served on a variety of committees.  He lives in Colts Neck, N.J., with his wife Susan and their four children.
