Amato Co-Edits Emergency Medicine Textbook, Publishes Articles

Christopher S. Amato, MD, FAAP, FACEP, attending pediatric emergency physician at Morristown (N.J.) Medical Center, served on the editorial team for PEER VIII: Physician’s Evaluation and Educational Review in Emergency Medicine, Volume 8, a publication of the American College of Emergency Medicine. The textbook addresses content review and self-assessment in emergency medicine.

Dr. Amato also co-authored the article “Technical Report: Finger Dislocations,” which was published in the summer newsletter of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Network, and co-authored “Hyponatremic Seizures,” which was published in the September 2011 Pediatric Section Newsletter of the American College of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Amato is an assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine; director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Morristown Medical Center; and medical director of pediatric advanced life support for Atlantic Health System.
