Amato Presents at New Jersey Statewide Conference on EMS

Christopher S. Amato, MD, FAAP, FACEP, attending pediatric emergency physician at Morristown (N.J.) Medical Center, presented two courses at the New Jersey Statewide Conference on EMS.

Held Nov. 2-4, 2011 in Atlantic City, N.J., the New Jersey Statewide Conference on EMS seeks to showcase the latest innovations in emergency medical services (EMS). Dr. Amato presented a course on pediatric airway and respiratory emergencies and a course on pediatric trauma.

Dr. Amato also directed the Advanced Difficult Airway Course Sept. 28, 2011, at the 9th Annual Advanced Emergency and Acute Care Medicine Conference, also in Atlantic City.

Dr. Amato is an assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine; director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Morristown Medical Center; attending pediatric physician at Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Morristown, NJ; and medical director of pediatric advanced life support for Atlantic Health System. He is also the past chair of the pediatric section of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
