Ben-Eli Honored by The American Red Cross for Outstanding Leadership


David Ben-Eli, MD, FACEP, EMS medical director, vice chairman of the Emergency Preparedness Committee and attending emergency department physician at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, N.Y., was honored by the Staten Island office of the American Red Cross for outstanding leadership.

Dr. Ben-Eli is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the National Association of EMS Physicians. He completed a combined degree program at eh Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Faculty of Medicine, Haifa, Israel. He completed his emergency medicine residency training at New York University)/Bellevue Medical Centers, New York City, and EMS fellowship training at New York City Fire Department and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

In 2008, Dr. Ben-Eli was the recipient of the Staten Island EMS Community Educator of the Year Award.
