Catherine Hanlon, MD, FACEP joined Emergency Medical Associates of New Jersey in 1997. Dr. Hanlon is the Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Hanlon received her undergraduate degree at Lafayette College and her medical degree from Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She went on active service with the United States Air Force as a Flight Surgeon, flying rescue with the 63rd Jolly Greens in Europe. After her return she completed her residency at Monmouth Medical Center becoming double boarded in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. 
     
  She has been active in teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. She has been the physician for wilderness and expedition medicine groups, and is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. She has practiced for 18 years and has worked at Capital Health Systems in Trenton, New Jersey, Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey and Centrastate Hospitals in New Jersey. Her off duty interests include skiing, diving, kayaking, travel and history. hanlonc@emamd.com
