| Information: | The CIM works closely with our ED physician to document a physician note for each patient in our state-of-the-art electronic medical record system (EDIMS). To obtain the history and physician exam findings, a CIM may accompany the physician into the patient’s room and take notes during the initial encounter or the physician will dictate information to the CIM who is based at a computer terminal in a dictation room or at the nurses’ station in the ED. |
