"Our ED has been recognized regionally, and showcased nationally, for its highly successful design and implementation of a "30 Minute Service Standard," states Dr. Marcilla.  "Through the unwavering support of Nyack Hospital's senior leadership and the expertise of Emergency Medical Associates (EMA) ED Solutions Team, we were able to improve our clinical and operational efficiencies to successfully reduce our ED wait times from approximately 60 minutes to less than 17 minutes. In a health care environment where a significant number of today's Emergency Departments are struggling to eliminate frequent diversions, and have ED wait times which typically average in hours and not minutes, the ability of Nyack Hospital's ED to deliver on this guarantee is a testament to the commitment of our Emergency Department team and our hospital administration."
