Emergency Medical Associates is among 100 companies nationwide who have been named to the 2012 Best Places to Work in Healthcare compiled by Modern Healthcare magazine.
The recognition program, now in its fifth year, honors workplaces that enable employees to perform at the optimum level to provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products and services. This is the second time that Emergency Medical Associates has been selected for this honor.
“This award reinforces what our physicians, clinical staff and employees already know,” explains Raymond Iannaccone, MD, FACEP, president and chief executive officer of Emergency Medical Associates. “Over the course of our 35 year history, our clinical staff has come to expect a quality, supportive work environment. We’re honored to be recognized again for this distinction.”
“Emergency Medical Associates prides itself on providing a collaborative, invigorating professional experience for all associates in all of our client hospitals,” explains Robert Levy, chief human resources officer for Emergency Medical Associates. “We reward clinical excellence with competitive compensation and benefits, and opportunities for advancement.”
Nearly 350 healthcare companies participated in this year’s program. The program surveyed employees and analyzed their responses in eight core areas:
- Leadership and planning
- Culture and communications
- Role satisfaction
- Working environment
- Relationship with supervisor
- Training and development
- Pay and benefits
- Overall satisfaction
Modern Healthcare will reveal the ranked order of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare Oct. 9 at a banquet in Nashville and will publish a special supplement Oct. 15.
