Ivan Miller, MD, FACEP

Ivan Miller, MD, FACEP, Board Treasurer, joined Emergency Medical Associates (EMA) in 2002. He is a member of EMA’s Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee. Dr Miller has been chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, N.Y. since 2007. He previously served as the interim chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, New York City.

Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine in India. His professional interests include interpersonal communication, emergency department performance improvement and evidence-based medicine. He is a member of the Disaster Preparedness Committee of the Richmond County Medical Society. 

Dr. Miller received his undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y., and his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y. He completed a combined residency in emergency medicine and internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New Hyde Park, N.Y.  He is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
