Markenson Delivers Keynote Lecture and Research Presentation at the European Resuscitation Conference


David Markenson, MD, FAAP, chief of the department of pediatric emergency medicine and associate professor of pediatrics at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital Westchester (N.Y.) Medical Center, recently delivered the keynote lecture titled “First Aid Science and Efficacy,” at the European Resuscitation Conference in Ghent, Belgium. Dr. Markenson also presented a paper titled “FA Hemorrhage.”

Dr. Markenson, who also serves as director for the Center for Disaster Medicine and associate professor of public health practice at New York Medical College, recently co-authored an article titled “A Consensus-Based Educational Framework and Competency Set for the Discipline of Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness,” in the February edition of “Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness.” Additionally, he performed a literature review in this publication on the topic of “Definition and Functions of Health Unified Command and Emergency Operations Centers for Large-Scale Bio-Event Disasters Within the Existing ICS.”
