Michael Bessette, MD, FACEP


		Michael Bessette, MD, FACEP, joined Emergency Medical Associates in 2008, where he is the Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Jersey City Medical Center. Prior to joining Emergency Medical Associates, Dr. Bessette was the Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Bayonne Medical Center. He is actively involved in Hudson County, where he volunteers as the Medical Director for the Hudson County Rapid Deployment Force and the Bayonne Special Operations Team.

	Dr. Bessette completed his bachelors degree at the University of California, San Diego, and his doctorate at the Sackler School of Medicine at the University of Tel Aviv in Israel. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Elmhurst Hospital in New York. He has served as an Assistant Professor for Mount Sinai Medical School. Dr. Bessette is a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and a professional society member of the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. bessettem@emamd.com
